It was kinda funny until the guy in the cat suit showed up. Then it just got weird.

The fake cat was supposed to look stupid. Did you notice it was labeled a 'scab'? This is the Writers' Guild making a point.
If you care to understand what they're striking for, this short little video explains it all very succinctly: Voices of Uncertainty. And you can see some of your favorite actors... and some more videos... on this site... supporting the writers ---> www.unitedhollywood.com

They should have showed video of lions eating other animals or something.
Anyways, I don't watch network TV save for football the writers strike doesn't interfer with my viewing. Eventually either they are going to get some money or people are going to hire non-union writers. Hopefully the latter happens because the current writers aren't writing anything I want to watch.

The guy in the cat suit is David Cross. He's quite an icon in dry, absurdist comedy.
Here is his imdb page.

Did you hear Zach B directed a new episode? It's a special fairy tale episode or something, I can't find the link anymore. It's coming up soon though!

NETwork TV???? you mean like abc, nbc etc????
Dont watch them. I spend my time on sci-fi, bbc, food network or some of the learning type (tlc, history, discovery).....outside of a few reruns of er I dont think I have seen much in the way of network tv (though heroes was on network right???? never watched it real time---got the torrents instead, no commercials etc).....and its not on now anyways so whatever.
Though glad its over, now if only the elections would get off my news channel!

My favourite show is Masterminds on the history channel.
It talks about incredible robberies of the last century and how they did it.
The FBI agents discussing the crimes sometimes show a profound respect for the criminal's intelligence and ingenuity. Although they are more ecstatic that they were smarter and caught em.

Scrubs is pretty boring, I can't stand that show, let the writers strike just fire them and hire mexican ones who work for less. The strike never really affected me I just watch Comedy Central and the news.

...but the DS/CR combo comprises a lot of Comedy Central's lineup. 10pm, 12am, 10am, and 2pm. That's four hours every single weekday. The strike also affects their other original programming, but honestly I don't much care beyond Reno.

Most of Comedy Central is worse than Scrubs........ some really stupid stuff on there at times but some good shows.
But to each his own - I like the show and most people I know really like it.
Glad the strike is over.... want to see some more Office, Scrubs, etc...
on a side note... I find Malice pretty damn average....
